Pedro Algorta, Andes air crash survivor, tells his story of supporting the Chilean miners and their families.
Pedro Algorta was a survivor of the 1972 plane crash in the Andes (featured in the film 'Alive!'). After the accident Pedro studied at the University of Buenos Aires and graduated with a degree in Economics, followed by an MBA at Stanford University. Now he devotes himself to work as a consultant and to running a farm in Uruguay. Pedro and 3 other Andes survivors volunteered their services to the Chilean government this year to support the trapped miners and their families.
