Rhona Flin PhD, FBPsS, FRSE is Professor of Applied Psychology and Director of the Industrial Psychology Research Centre at the University of Aberdeen.

She leads a team of psychologists conducting research on human performance in high risk industries and healthcare. In 2006, she was awarded the Roger Green Medal for Human Factors from the Royal Aeronautical Society.

She is currently studying surgeons’, anaesthetists’ and nurses’ non-technical skills and safety climate in hospitals and is leading the Scottish Patient Safety Research Network.
